The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) detectives had been monitoring the suspects. The operation unfolded swiftly as the detectives executed their plan.

DCI stated, “In a meticulously planned operation, TOCU detectives swiftly descended upon Kandara area in Murang’a County. They apprehended three notorious drug traffickers and seized fifteen sacks of marijuana.”

The trio was caught red-handed at the entertainment venue, thanks to the detectives’ well-coordinated efforts.

Evidence Seized

During the raid, authorities impounded a Toyota Avensis and a motorcycle. Both vehicles played crucial roles in the suspects’ operations.

The DCI noted, “A Toyota Avensis with registration number KBT 236G was impounded. A thorough search uncovered a hidden stash of cannabis and personal documents.” Additionally, a motorcycle with the registration number KMFX 568U was recovered. Authorities believe this motorcycle was used for swift deliveries.

The detectives also secured personal documents found in the impounded vehicles. These documents are now being held as evidence.

Suspects Detained

The arrested individuals have been detained at Muthaiga Police Station. They are awaiting arraignment in court. The police will charge them based on the evidence collected.
